High school seniors considering Marshall University will have a chance to learn more about the school’s new Direct Admissions program during a special event in Beckley on October 3.

The Direct Admissions Launch will take place in the Woodrow Wilson High School auditorium from 1:15 to 2:15 p.m.

Part of the “Marshall Direct” initiative, the program is designed to remove barriers to higher education and expand access to college opportunities for students across West Virginia. In partnership with local school districts, the effort offers students direct admission to Marshall University with no application fees or costs.

Marshall University President Brad Smith will attend the launch, along with the school’s mascot, Marco the Bison.

For more information about the program, students can contact the Marshall University Office of Admissions at 304-696-3160 or visit marshall.edu/admissions.
