Two Beckley men have been sentenced in separate drug-related cases, according to federal court records.

Mark Anderson Staples admitted his role in a 12-person drug trafficking organization that distributed methamphetamine, fentanyl, and crack cocaine. Staples was sentenced to four years and nine months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

In a separate case, Justin Scott Keyes admitted to selling fentanyl to a confidential informant. During the investigation, police also recovered two handguns from Keyes’ residence.

Keyes was sentenced to nine years and two months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release.

Federal prosecutors said both cases are part of ongoing efforts to combat drug trafficking and fentanyl distribution in southern West Virginia.
