State police are investigating a shots-fired incident in a Raleigh County neighborhood.
Authorities say they were called to the 500 block of Carver Circle on January 7, 2026, after a woman reported she had been threatened and shot at while walking a dog.
The woman told troopers she was returning a neighbor’s dog when a man at 510 Carver Circle accused her of owing him money and began yelling. He reportedly threatened to retrieve a gun and then fired one round in her direction before going back inside the home.
No injuries were reported in the incident.
Anthony Brown has been arrested and is being held at the Southern Regional Jail on a $500,000 bond.
Authorities continue to investigate the incident.
