MOUNT HOPE — A Mount Hope man was arrested Sunday morning following a violent domestic incident involving a knife and a forced re-entry into a residence, according to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy M.J. Wriston was dispatched to a home on Colorado Street at approximately 9:49 a.m. on December 14, 2025, for a reported physical domestic disturbance.
According to deputies, a woman reported that a man later identified as Anthony Jameson entered the residence and began yelling at her because a dog was barking. When she asked him to leave, Jameson refused.
The woman told deputies that when she attempted to call 911, Jameson grabbed her by the hair and throat, held a knife to her neck, and threatened to kill her. She said she was then pushed out of the home and locked outside while Jameson fled through the back door.
Deputy Wriston observed visible markings on the right side of the woman’s neck consistent with her account. A written statement was obtained, and photographs of her injuries were taken as evidence.
While deputies were at the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office seeking an arrest warrant for Jameson, another call was received from the same address reporting that Jameson had returned to the home and kicked open the back door before entering.
Deputies responded to the scene and observed a white SUV parked along the roadway. A white male exited the vehicle and identified himself as Anthony Jameson. He was taken into custody without incident.
Jameson was arrested and charged with Domestic Battery and Brandishing a Deadly Weapon.
During a search incident to arrest, deputies recovered a black-and-orange knife from Jameson’s left front pocket. The knife was seized and logged into evidence.
The incident occurred in Mount Hope, Fayette County. Charges against Jameson are pending further court proceedings.
