Richwood Police say multiple people are facing felony charges after officers uncovered a large quantity of drugs inside a Riverside Drive home.
According to the department, officers received information that drugs were possibly being sold out of a local residence. A traffic stop was conducted on a suspect vehicle, where two adults from Akron, Ohio, were detained.
During the stop, officers obtained information indicating that drugs were inside a home on Riverside Drive. Police applied for a search warrant, which was granted.
With assistance from the West Virginia State Police, officers entered the residence and found two male juveniles — also from Akron, Ohio — inside, along with the homeowners. During the search, officers recovered a large amount of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl.
All individuals involved were taken into custody. Police say everyone is facing multiple felony charges as the investigation continues.
