BECKLEY, W.Va. — State Treasurer Larry Pack visited Beckley today to present an unclaimed property check to Raleigh County Parks and Recreation.
The Amount:
The check totaled more than $7,000, returned to the department from a stale, dated check.

Parks and Recreation Executive Director Molly Williams said the unexpected funds will support facility maintenance, supplies, and staffing.

Williams noted the amount was higher than they anticipated, providing a welcome boost for ongoing needs.
