Families are invited to bundle up, get moving, and celebrate the holidays in style as the Ugly Sweater Fun Run and Walk returns to Fayette County Park on Saturday, December 7.
The festive event offers a unique way to take in the park’s Winter Wonderland light display—without the pressure of competition. Organizers emphasize that the outing is not a race. Participants can move at their own pace and complete as many laps as they’d like, with five laps totaling a full 5K.
Registration is $10 per person, while children 12 and under can participate for free.
Participants are asked to arrive between 4:30 and 4:50 p.m., with the event officially starting at 5 p.m.
Holiday attire is strongly encouraged, and creativity could pay off. Prizes will be awarded in the Ugly Sweater Runway contest as well as the “Deck the Stroller” competition for families who go all-out with themed decorations.
