The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a Monday shooting in Rainelle that left one person injured.
According to Sheriff Bart Baker, the incident happened during what appears to have been a domestic dispute between a man and a woman. The woman allegedly shot the man during the altercation.
Baker said the suspected shooter is now in custody and emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the community.
The victim was transported to a trauma center for treatment. No further details about his condition have been released.
The Sheriff’s Office said additional information will be provided as the investigation continues.
