FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — A “No Kings” protest has been planned near the intersection of U.S. Route 19 and State Route 16 on Bridge Day this Saturday.

According to organizers, “No Kings” is a political protest movement that rejects what they describe as authoritarian tendencies in President Donald Trump’s second term. A similar protest was held in June.

The Fayetteville protest is one of several planned across West Virginia and the nation. It is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Organizers have instructed attendees to use Bridge Day shuttles to reach the protest location.

Bridge Day officials said the protest is not associated with the annual event and will not take place inside the Bridge Day venue.
